Our care
Joint replacement
Total and partial knee and hip replacement, with same-day and overnight options and a set plan for your recovery.
Sports medicine
ACL, meniscus, shoulder and ankle injuries, from first visit to return to play.
Fracture care
Walk-in fracture clinic weekdays from 8am. No appointment needed.
After a knee or hip replacement
Your after-visit summary has the details for you. In general:
- Post-op visit: 10 to 14 days after surgery. We take an x-ray first, so allow about 45 minutes.
- Physical therapy: starts within a few days of going home, usually two visits a week. Book with the clinic on your referral.
- Driving: no driving for 6 weeks after a right knee or hip replacement, and while you take opioid pain medication.
- Blood thinner: take it for the full course on your summary, even if you feel well.
Proxy access
A patient can let a family member or caregiver use the portal for them: see appointments and summaries, reschedule visits and message the care team. The patient sets this up at the front desk or in the portal, and we email the proxy an invitation with a temporary password. Proxies sign in with their own email address and act as themselves; the portal shows whose record you are viewing.
